YOU ARE PURCHASING 10pr OF REPRODUCTION H.O. SCALE RIMS DESIGNED TO FIT YOUR H.O. SCALE TUFF ONES T-JET 500 CHASSIS.  THIS LOT INCLUDES 5 PAIR FRONT RIMS AND 5 PAIR REAR RIMS IN BLACK.

These new Tuff Ones front wheels are molded in color in the USA from ABS plastic.    These are stock replacements for the original Aurora Tuff Ones front wheels and can be used on all Aurora Thunderjet style chassis.  They can also be used on all Johnny Lightning, Auto World and Dash Thunderjet style chassis which use the standard .0625" axle.  These wheels follow as closely as possible the dimensions of the original Aurora wheels and use the long Thunderjet axle.
The only dimensional difference between the standard Thunderjet wheel and the Tuff Ones front is the wider rear collar on the Tuff Ones, making the Tuff Ones front an overall wider wheel while still using the same size tire.  The overall width of the Tuff Ones front matches the overall width of the Tuff Ones rear.
Note: If so desired, ABS plastic can be painted and/or chromed.
Note: Original Aurora Tuff Ones front wheels were designed so one wheel spun freely on the axle while the other was press fit.  This meant one wheel in a pair had an oversized axle hole.  These wheels come in only one size and are designed to be press fit onto the axle.  In order to get one wheel to spin freely on the axle, you will need to open the axle hole slightly.  If desired or preferred both wheels can be press fit onto a long Thunderjet axle since these wheels use the smaller (standard) axle hole size.
These wheels are designed with a unique five-spoke pattern.  Other Thunderjet replacement wheels are available with this same pattern, including the standard Thunderjet, large Thunderjet and Tuff Ones wheels.  This allows the wheels to be used in any matching combination.
The various areas of the wheels are as follows:
Tire area: This is where the tire will mount
Flange: The raised backing behind the tire area
Rear collar: The area behind the flange
