REPRODUCTION H.O. SCALE T-JET 500 AXLES.  THESE AXLES ARE LONGER AND THEY ARE DESIGNED TO FIT YOUR ORIGINAL AURORA T-JET 500 CHASSIS.  THESE AXLES CAN BE USED FOR THE FRONT AND REAR.
DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
This axle is an exact copy of the original Aurora T-Jet long axle.
The spline pattern and length exactly matches the original Aurora axle.
They are made from 1/16" (.0625") stock 1018 steel and extra insistence was placed on making sure they are straight.
The splined areas on original Aurora axles can vary widely, probably due to both manufacturing tolerances and when they were made.
The splined areas on these axles can vary in diameter from .0625" to about .0635" depending on how aggresive the splines were cut on a particular axle; a variation of approximately 1.6%.
This axle was used on both the T-Jet and AFX chassis.
On T-Jets, it was used for trucks, hot rods, buggys, racers and the Tuff Ones.
On the AFX, it was used as the rear axle.
I'm guessing Aurora used the long T-Jet axle on the AFX until the stock ran out before switching the AFX to a different long axle which has a slightly different spline pattern at the tips.
One axle has splines all the way to the end (long T-Jet) while the other has a smooth area at the tips.
There is probably no real difference between these two long axles.
This axle can be used on all T-Jet, AFX, G-Plus, Super-Magnatraction variations and X-Traction style chassis including Aurora, Johnny Lightning, Auto World and Dash.
It can also be used as the rear axle on Tomy Turbo, SRT and Super G+ chassis
