    Description

    Absolutely incredible Civil War hat….The green velvet has a lighter pattern,I’m not sure if that is age or if the velvet originally was a print. I think it was a print but I cannot be 100% sure. Beautiful wide grosgrain ribbon with fine deep navy pinstripe and bronze Metalwork lace trim. The hat is wire constructed and lined on the inside ….Long green velvet ties……One tie has a small amount of damage which I have pictured. The plume is orange and wrapped with a rusty orange early silk chenille threading and it has tiny little bronze beads at the tip of the feathers…. Honestly probably one of the best hats I’ve had in the years and in excellent condition For its age but please look at the pictures as part of the description and email me with any questions prior to bidding. It is a special and bold bright rare green piece.
