ANTIQUE VICTORIAN VTG 1860's BLACK Ladies Spoon Bonnet - Mourning Hat

This is a wonderful authentic Victorian Black Ladies Mourning Hat in the shape of a spoon bonnet. This hat is listed as one size fits all because this sits on top of the head. This lovely bonnet dates to the 1860' or 1870's. The top of the hat is covered in a chenille lace and a ribbon ruffle. The chenille trim both on top of the hat and underneath the front spoon is original. The only thing I have changed is to add the ribbon ruffle on top and toulle underneath the brim to replace the original shattered trim and new ties otherwise it is in original condition. I did add an ostrich feather and a vintage velvet rose to complete this beautiful hat. I did not add a lining because I want you to see that it is an authentic hat true to this era.This really is an amazing hat to have survived over 150 years.
