Intoximeters Inc official Law Enforcement portable handheld roadside Breathalyzer. I have personally used identical units as well as these specific units. I was a North Carolina Hwy. Patrolman and used these almost on a daily basis. We were required to test and adjust or calibrate these on a weekly basis.They are generally extremely accurate based on my prior experience. This item includes a pelican or pelican like hard case for protection. This unit comes with all shown items including instruction manual, adjustment screwdriver, and shown mouthpieces. Prior to shipping these, I will personally calibrate them with a .08 calibration solution. When they arrived they should be ready to use.
As a disclaimer these should be used only to determine your approximate blood alcohol concentration and should not be a deciding factor or indicator on a decision to drive or not to drive. Blood alcohol concentration is only supporting evidence in a driving while impaired case. You can have a very low level of blood alcohol concentration and still be impaired to the point where you should not be driving. These can also be used to determine if you're underage children have any alcohol in their system. I have also seen these used at parties as a novelty and in drinking games.
