Vintage Gainsborough Plush Brown Beaver Felt Fur Large Wide Brim Picture Hat
This Gainsborough plush brown beaver felt fur large wide brim picture hat dates from 1940. It is made of a reddish orange brown rust color plush beaver felt fur fabric on a rigid wool base, with a matching brown color velvet ribbon bow hatband and orange green velvet floral leaf trim. This gorgeous grand Gainsborough style picture hat has a large wide brim, a small tall round crown, an attached elastic chin strap underneath and is unlined. The hat measures 18 inches wide across the brim, with a 4 inch tall crown and is 18 inches inside crown circumference. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of millinery wearable art!
