Vintage Toy ~ Carousel Animals ~ Celluloid Roly-Poly ~ Rare & Fabulous!

Description

From my carousel and merry-go-round collection is this rare celluloid/early plastic toy.  I can't find a comparable!  I am not an expert on early plastics, but I know the animals, umbrella and platform are celluloid; the rest probably is too.  There are 3 animals - buffalo, elephant and bear.  Pastel colors - blue, pink, ivory + a bright orange wheel.  There is a bell inside the wheel; when the wheel is turned, the toy goes in a circle and the bell jingles.  The umbrella detaches.  Measures approximately 5 1/4" tall x 6 1/2" in diameter (including the wheel).  Condition:  It needs to be cleaned by someone more knowledgeable than me.  There is discolored glue on the edge of the pink platform and the blue bowl - it looks better in person than in the photos, not as dark.  There is some separation between the platform and bowl, plus a very small hairline crack in the edge of the platform below the buffalo.  I believe there is something missing on the metal piece at the top.  All in all, the condition is not perfect but good enough.  The toy has a great vintage look.  It is unique, wonderful and rare!  Carousel toys are not easy to come by, especially one with a buffalo.  Add to your merry-go-round collectibles, celluloid or toy collection.  It is a piece you will treasure!!!   Feel free to ask questions.
